Introduction to Bread Baking
Have you always wanted to bake bread at home, but don't know how to start?
In this introduction class you will learn the basic steps how you turn just flour and water into a bread with a crusty crust and a light crumb.
I will present different types of sourdough breads with wheat and rye flour. We will talk about the nature and function of a Sourdough and I will show the most important baking techniques:
- dough fermentation
- loaf shaping
At the end we will degust breads and you will take home a fresh baked sourdough bread.
The class take place in South San Jose, CA.
Every class is limited to 5 participants. Please not, that this is a demonstration class with only little hands-on experiences.
This class will take 2 hours.
Every class is available in German and English. Let me know which language you prefer.
